In the Eastern Conference Finals between the both surprising Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens, it shows that any team can make a run in the playoffs as long as they are good enough to reach the postseason. However, being good enough to reach the postseason can sometimes be based on how well its own division or its own conference plays against other opponents.

On Apr. 22, Jennifer Jones dropped their third, Cathy Overton-Clapham and replaced her a day later with two-time Canadian Junior champion, Kaitlyn Lawes. It wasn’t that the team was unsuccessful as they are still reigning as Canadian champions, it was a matter of looking ahead to reach the Olympic Trials in 2013. Backlash was swift and plenty for the team and especially for Jones.
